** We hope to see you all at the January Community meeting, which will be held on Tuesday, March 6th at 7:30 at the Riviera Beach Fire Department.  Community meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month, and elections are held in the month of October**

This Association was established in 1953 for these purposes:
  • To enhance and promote the general welfare and advancement of the residents and property-owners of the Sunset Beach community;
  • To foster efforts to maintain and improve the general attractiveness and value of the properties in the Sunset Beach community;
  • To enforce the covenants of the deed to the common properties of the community;
  • To unite and organize the residents and property-owners of Sunset Beach to use their resources to support the purposes of this Association;
  • To collect and disburse money for the above purposes; and
  • To acquire or dispose of property (lawn or play equipment, tables, etc.) as is necessary or convenient to the above purposes.
 
All resident property-owners (those with names on the deed or who have a contract to purchase) in Sunset Beach are encouraged to become voting members of this community association by sending in their annual dues of $25 to the address above.  All other residents are invited to participate in our general meetings and social events, work on our committees, and donate to the association.
 
General meetings are held at the Riviera Beach Fire Station, 8506 Ft. Smallwood Rd., at 7:30 PM. (Ask at the station for which meeting room we have.)  The 2012 schedule of meetings, usually the first Tuesday of a month, is:
January 3rd
February 7th
**March 6th**
April 3rd
May 1st
September 4th
October 2nd
November 6th
December 4th
 
Officers are elected at our October general meetings and have a term of one year.  A member may not be elected to the same office more than two consecutive years in a row.  For a list of current officers and board members, click on "2012 Officers & Board Members" above on the right.

OUR ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DRIVE CONTINUES!!
  A $30 payment at any point in the year bestows membership until the following Dec. 31.  Remember that the SBIA needs only a quorum (10%) of its membership to pass a motion.  If only a few people have paid dues (become members) by the March general meeting, this will mean that VERY FEW people can make decisions.
